Gay L.O.V.E.

L is for Lonely.
What we all are until we find that special person to which we share our hearts and souls.  That single person that brightens our darkest days.  That is there to comfort us when we’re sad.  Can give us strength when we are at our weakest.  That will be there to tell us when we’re wrong, or stand behind us when we’re right.  That single person that means more to us then life itself…

O is for no Option.
Please understand.  Love is not an optional thing.  It doesn’t ask our permission first.  It won’t even give us any warning.  It will just come along and fill that empty space in our hearts.  You never know with who, or when it will find you, though when it does…you’ll surely know it.  It will be the greatest feeling in the world…

V is for Virtue.
It’s for being able to stand against all odds with the one we love.  It’s for not being afraid of who knows we care for this person.  Not letting what others think mar our decision for happiness.  It’s for knowing we have finally found that which completes us, and will withstand anything to keep it that way. . .

E is for Empathy.
Our understanding of a situation.  Not condemning the motives of two people that have found joy in each others company.  To show we can have compassion.  Not discriminate against someone because they have the strength to express their true feelings for another.  Let them know we are truly impressed by the courage they must have. . .

You can’t stand the thought of people the same sex being in love?
     Who are you to judge?
If they truly love each other...that's all that matters.
Here’s a little advice for you.
Read a good book and get the fuck over it.
I hope you find true love someday yourself...maybe then you’ll finally be able to understand it. . .

I'm sorry if this offends anyone. I didn't intend for it to. This came about after hearing about all of the fuss that's being made about gay marriages. These are just my thoughts about the entire situation.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

the issue isn't quite that simple... but... its not far from the truth... i personally think that all the reasons against gay marriage are weak.. but they are valid reasons.... in anycase... i do happen to believe that gays shouldn't have children... thats only cruel to the child... there is no way for that kid to grow up well ballanced

Thank you for your imput.

I'm not sure why the issue really isn't that simple. I also don't agree about gay couples having children. I mean 80% of all serial killers come from well to do heterosexual couples. I don't see how having two dads, or two moms is going to make a child unbalanced. If you mean that a child with gay parents will most likely turn out gay...the answer is probably no. Nobody can choose their sexuality...

children don't do well missing a dad or a mom... and having an extra dad doesn't make up for the loss of a mother.... the issues with gay marriage don't stem from the rights of the gays... the stem from the reasons for the debate... its not a question of being able to live together... its a question of getting governmental benofits for being married... and those benofits were designed to get people to marry so they can have children.. and gay couples have great difficulty having children... if you know what i mean.... and it is because of this that the govenment is reluctant... its offering help for children to those who can not have children... among other additional issues.... but like i said... that a weak issue... the problem is the government stands to gain nothing from legalizing gay marriage but stands to lose money by doing it... money that could otherwise go to bettering the community in more productive ways... like building roads... or buying books for schools.... all these things stand to take cuts if gay marriage is legalized..... so you see... its not that simple

I'm getting a bit confused here. I guess I never realized that gay couples were the only ones that ever adopted children. There are plenty of hetero couples that are unable to have children of their own. There are also millions of orphaned children that would be greatful to be in a loving family environment. I guess I also never realized that the gay men and women in our armed forces are obligated to fight, and possibly die, for a country that isn't willing to support their needs. My only benefit from the government due to my marriage was alimony.

God forbid politicians weren't able to vote themselves a raise one year. I wonder how many of them are gay.

Thank you for all of your thoughts.

like i said, I agree with you, gays should be allowd to marry... the arguements that the other sides have are weak and boil down to the government not wanting to deal with restructuring the budget, and religious types saying its wrong.... but its still just not as simple as saying they should be able to be married and have all the benofits of being married... your right that not all hetero couples have children... but that fact remains that most do. and that was the origional Idea behind the marriage laws... even my own parents pressure me and my girl to get married, even though we don't believe in it from a religous standpoint... its the only way to spread healthcare from jobs.. there are so many benofits these days...

very proud of you man! Its great to see someone take a stance not on gay, or lesbian rights only, but the right to love
Thanks Jay......I really appreciate the support man.

It seems that our government is trying to tell us who we can and can't love. That just isn't right to me. Obviously it isn't right to you either. :)

I guess there is only one thing left that I can say. I hope our government will open it's eyes and realize that our world isn't the same as it was when these laws were implemented. Things change...people change. Society is constantly moving forward. Homosexuals need to be accepted, because they have always been here, and they aren't going anywhere. Our government can argue all it wants, but eventually they will have to change the laws. Our society isn't going to stop it's evolution simply because some people are afraid to accept these changes. I know it may be kind of wrong to compare the gay movement to the repression and subjugation of colored people, but thats exactly what is happening. It's no where near as strongly done as it was to colored people, though it's still the same. They are being condemned simply because of who they are...

Thanks again.
